Located in the heart of Montague, MI, St. James Lutheran has been part of the community since 1872. Made up of nearly 700 members, St. James Lutheran Church is a congregation on the go and on the grow! As you meet members of the congregation, it quickly becomes obvious that the family is the central bond that keeps our church growing. Many of our members are second and third generation families. Even if you are new to the area and our church, you will soon feel like you are part of our family.

Our Christian life is founded on the bible-based teachings of Martin Luther, who inspired the reformation of the Christian Church. Our beliefs can be summarized in three short, simple, yet powerful statements: Grace Alone, Scripture Alone, and Faith Alone. At St. James, you will find the spiritual studies to be interesting and thought provoking. Throughout the week there are many activities for Christians of all ages.

We pray that the grace of God has touched your spirit and that you feel welcome and invited to be a part of the St. James Lutheran Family.
